I´ve been at my site for two weeks now and overall, life is good. After living out of a hotel room, I was able to find a house with a nice host family yesterday and moved in last night. I´m hoping that having a safe place to come home to will make this transition a lot easier. The family seems really nice and I´m looking forward to getting to know them better.
Starting next week, I will be going door to door with some of my coworkers to do some community assesment. Hopefully my Spanish will be good enough to get some decent information out of the interviews. Or I can resort to charades, which has been working well for me so far.
